The first generation Smart Fortwo Coupé / City-Coupé (body code 450, 07.1998–01.2004) uses the classic Hook / Standard Hook (9x3 mm) attachment at the front. Unlike newer generations, the 450 model uses two completely symmetrical and equal length blades on both sides of the windshield. The Coupé version comes standard with a 340 mm rear wiper, mounted on the upper glass section of the tailgate.
