The second generation Smart Fortwo Cabrio (body code 451, 04.2007–2015, including 2010 and 2012 facelifts) uses a modern Pinch Tab / Side Button clip-on attachment system. From the factory, the car comes equipped with aerodynamic flat-type flexible blades. This model does NOT have a rear wiper — the textile roof folds directly over the edge of the trunk, making it impossible to mount a wiper motor on the rear window.
