The Smart Forfour 453 with electric retractable textile roof (tridop / canvas roof, 09.2015–2021) uses the modern Bayonet / Straight Rail attachment type — the blades slide directly onto the straight metal arm and lock at the end, without additional pins or buttons. Attention: this variant DOES NOT have a rear wiper — the mechanism was removed by the manufacturer to allow the fabric to fold over the tailgate.
