The second-generation Smart Forfour (body code 453, shared platform with Renault Twingo III, rear-mounted engine, 11.2014–2021) uses a modern Bayonet / Straight Rail attachment system — the blades slide directly onto the straight metal arm and lock with a clip, without additional pins or buttons. From the factory, the car comes equipped with aerodynamic flat (beam) flexible blades.
