Note: From 2023, two distinct models coexist on the market under the name Mazda 2: the original DJ model (Japanese, 550/425mm, hook attachment) and the Mazda 2 Hybrid (rebranded Toyota Yaris, 600/400mm, different attachment system). This product is exclusively for the original Mazda 2 DJ.

Service Position - How to lift the arms to change the blades

Mazda 2 DJ (2014-2026) with Smart Key ignition has the arms locked under the hood. Follow the steps below:

1. Press the Start/Stop button to turn on the ignition (Ignition ON - without pressing the brake).
2. Press the Start/Stop button again to completely turn off the ignition (Ignition OFF).
3. Within 30 seconds of turning off, push the wiper lever up towards the MIST position exactly 2 times in rapid succession.
4. The arms will automatically lift and remain locked vertically.

Return: Turn the ignition ON again and operate the wiper lever up once.
